Darkness and Hellfire
Flame was what he knew; the morning's flame, the gentle kiss of heat to a newborn planet. He knew the cosmos; he knew the Gods. He had seen the creation of the world, of many worlds. He knew things that were, things that are, things that no seer could possibly predict. Past, present, furture; his eyes know all.
He was birthed from the flame, torn unwillingly from it's gentle caress, the womb of nothingness save for the world at his fingertips, the knowledge of eons of days and nights, countless lives stretching far past present day and into the future.
The flame gave him shape; sleek of body, massive, a black panther danced and writhed amidst it's bretheren, it's mother, it's life. And even in that instance it was robbed from him, his form, deadly claws to harmless hands, massive jowls to blunt teeth, a cry wrent from his new-born throat as fur shrivled and faded away, leaving smooth, pale skin.
He bowed, then, palms pressed against the cool stone; to his master, one hidden in darkness, attended by darkness. Their names he knew, Drow, skulking creatures of the dark, barely clothed, half-starved, fear in thier eyes. He savored in their emotions for only a moment, that luxury as cruelly torn from him as hellfire's flame.
"I have summoned you." Voice of intermidible age, gender; it was only the darkness he saw. A shiver passed through his naked body, human's modesty not yet pressed upon him as he pressed his burning forehead to the stone.
"You will serve me."
Head is lifted, then; it was both a release and a curse, the voice allowing him to rise to his two feet. His face was terrible to behold, eyes glaring forth; flames danced in the slit pupils of the demon, eyes that held the knowledge of the worlds. Saliva swallowed, tounge flickered forth to moisten new-born lips before those cords vibrated and rattled, husky voice filling the air, the boundaries of the triangle he was bound in.
"Master."
And the darkness smiled.
