The Prophecy

The goddess of the good drow, Elistraee, knew of the prophecy the elven kept hidden for thousands of years. She made sure that it was kept from Lolth, the spider Queen.
Elistraee knew if Lolth knew of such, she would do all she could in her power to prevent such. To have one become even stronger than her was bad enough, but for it to be an elf would of caused Lolth to cast the worst plague the worlds would of seen, destroying not only her kind, but all of creation.
It was written that a child from the surface would be born into the worlds of light and darkness.
The child would have runes upon her forearms of a cresent moon and sun 'pon the other. Her beauty like no other. Sterling locks, eyes of amethyst. Skin so fair. Her powers so great, that it would make the highest goddess look weak.
The elven child was born to Lady Alari'ania and Lord Ka'lain. She was given the name of Aerithya, meaning Spring Ice Faerie. The name had pleased Elistraee. It suited the child well. The moment the child came into the world, Elistraee casted a cloaked spell over the child.
Unseen of course by most but her presence was felt. The spell would hold the child's identity from Lolth and her followers.
This child would be seen as a threat to Lolth and no doubt destoryed if they knew of her existance now. In Elistraee's eyes, the child was a gift from the gods to unite the underdark and surface dwellers as well as the balance of all who are of good and evil.
Elistraee was not the only one that knew of the elven prophecy. There were many that knew of it's existance, but ignored it or did not believe it.
The elven child would be visited by many in her growing years and be taught of many things. Being cast into the mortal world, the child would learn to be a cleric and have the powers to heal both light and darkness. She was the balance. She would help all to keep the balance of Mortal men and their foes, the vampire and demons alike. She was their ally, their balance. To destroy one would destroy them all.
The elven elders had waited for said child to be born for thousands of years. The dark mages scoffed at such.
The rest feared it.
