It was peaceful in the forest, with the winter snow on the ground, many of the animals hiding within their burrows and dens, to await the spring thaw. Still there was one moving amongst the trees however, one who now knelt in the snow and began the delicate task of digging a hibernating plant from its chilly embrace. There were some herbs, some plants that did not deal well with being moved, and so it was best to move them when the earth was cold, when they slept.
Carefully her prize was laid in the basket with the others and she would be rising, tugging her cloak around her once more, just a few more stops to make, a few more plants to gather and then Samariah would be returning to the remedium.
Even though she had left the path of a thief, she still moved with the same grace, was as light of foot as she had been then, was little more than a quietly moving wraith.
