Agony's intervention

There was a laugh from the mercenary, then a slight bow of his head towards Agnieszka. Still irreverent, wasn't he, even in the face of death and damnation. Well. Death, at least. He was surely damned already as far as the Constables were probably concerned. Still, his fingers touched the bracelet of beads he'd just acquired, as he peered at Agnieszka. It felt like a last look, didn't it?

"No. You do be right. Freezing, it is no my style. And I will be safe. If you need... Need to get a hold of me, there is an Enclave in the 'Wood." The capitalisation was pointed. On both of those words, wasn't it? "They will not know where I am, but... They will know, how to find me if there is need. And if you need me... I will know." Here, then, Aeryn Karolinger leaned forward and planted a kiss upon the other's forehead. If that look he gave her earlier had almost been a thought, this kiss was a promise. That another would be shared between them, some time or another.

"Go back to your farm, Agnieszka. So you cannot see which way I walk when I depart. I am... not like Rautha, who can disappear while you are talking to him." That last smile, and he'd point vaguely towards the farmhouse.

One should always be drunk. That's all that matters... But with what? With wine, with poetry, or with virtue, as you chose. But get drunk. - Charles Baudelaire
