Trailing the Devil.

Sun Oct 23, 2005 5:37 pm

The man had followed for quite a while, undaunted in his task to follow after this man. And that was what he saw, nothing but a man. And men could be tracked and trailed and then marked. And in the end, slain and burned on a pyre. Jons was sure that was what they ment to do with the beast, and that suited him just fine, truth to tell. He had little care for men who did what he heard this man had done. Dhrin was a monster, and deserved to be drawn and quartered before being burned at the stake.

In any case, Jons had followed him. Through the woods and down the river. And over the river, as it were. The man had a rather circular route to get where he was headed too. And then -back- in the way they had come, or so it had seemed. It was a shock to him, when they finally came to the terminus of their travels.

A great shock, even though he didn't have the same faith as those here abouts apparently did. He still recognized it for what it was, and that... that is what made it all the more disturbing. A place of worship should never be used as a hiding hole such as this. He cursed softly, then twisted. The Captain had set one of their five man camps up out here, and he knew the corporal in charge of the unit. He'd set them to watch the Priory of Snowstill, whilst he himself ran through the night to find Kerrak and give him the good news.

Kerrak's men would not be watching alone, though the woman felt little need to make her presence known, especially as she was bereft of her usual concealing cloak, garbed as she still was in Ariane's clothing. She did not know these men, and figured that it would cause problems if she were simply to pop out of the night.

So, she would simply wait, her night-keen eyes watching.
