She had returned. It was not her intention to do so. The mute elf had fled from the town to get away from the flooding memories that returned. It was far to much for her then.
With the melting of the snows and the singing of the birds that showed the first signs of Spring, the elf had a change of heart. She would face whatever fate would bring her instead of running from her troubles.
There was many things she had thought of while gone. First order was to take care of past issues and move on.
The ones that took her voice would pay if the elf had her way. That would come in due time. She had many months of plotting to fall back on.
Time healed all wounds and the elf knew this. She would seek out several and discuss things in her own way with them. Rumors were heard and she would find out what was true and what was not. Even the dead returned.
The old hut she had once lived in was cleaned out. Cobwebs and dirt sweeped. New curtians set above the windows opened to air the hut out. The smell of homemade breads filled the air.
New healing herbs were set upon the shelf. A nod given in satisfaction. The elven healer was back.
