Seeking the Sorceress

Tue Jun 17, 2008 5:33 pm

The scarred girl strode silently along, alert as always to her surroundings even with her thoughts elsewhere.

She had been able to tolerate the mapmaker recently - since he'd been paying for her drinks. But her patience had worn thin, and then to the breaking point with a comment made earlier this evening. Fortunately circumstances had intervened and it had not been pursued. Still, it was mostly that which had turned her feet in a particular direction after leaving the tavern. A particular direction intended to lead to a particular blind sorceress.

Hopefully she'd not get a tree dropped on her head this time. Though of late she's been far more polite to Kyra, since the end of the Ashfiend matter and the beginnings of working on something far more dear to the girl's heart. Besides, there wasn't really anyone else she'd rather talk to. The girl had a rather low opinion of most of Myrken Wood's inhabitants.

Kyra had found a small flat within the city from which to continue her work, once she had recovered and left the Rememdium. Though she was still very much available to those who would seek her, she did not make public appearances as much since the Ashfiend saga had come to its close. Perhaps she found herself too busy in her work preventing his escape? Perhaps she still found herself too tired to venture out? It was difficult to say, really.

The ivory-haired sorceress could be found easily enough - she'd made her whereabouts known to those who might seek her company. This included, of course, the taciturn magician girl who now found herself at the woman's apartment. She'd find the door open, the blind woman poring over a text of ancient runes as if her eyes could see the inscriptions within. It was almost as if she had been expecting Niall.

"Good evening, child... come in, do shut the door behind you," she bade the girl welcome in her lofty, educated, precise accent, barely stirring her head from her reading. "What may I do for you?"

Niall

The girl glanced curiously towards Kyra's book as she stepped inside, closing the door behind her at the older woman's request. Niall had a book of her very own now - not that she'd mentioned that to Kyra. Oh no. Not at all.

"They have demons now." She announced with a slightly bored tone as she looked about the room. "I don't see why these people stay here. This is not a good place." Full of Fiends and demons and whatevers. Far more sensible to leave, she thought. It wasn't as though they seemed to have another plan!
