(A letter, scrawled in Sir Malaroth's crowded, hastily slanted hand)
Glenn,
I understand that between you and Lady Quiller, who is regrettably missing, you possess all that is known concerning the Ashfiend. Word has reached me of your latest confrontation in the Broken Dagger, along with his promised intention for you. Rest assured that, should my squire fail in her attempt to subdue the Ashfiend I will make every effort to protect you.
There are some things I know about him. Things that are burned into my mind. I would prefer to speak of such things in person if we may, for I fear anything I commit to writing may return to haunt me.
I must, however, have your oath, upon your honor, not to tell anyone of my involvement in what I would like to share with you. If you are willing to talk with me then I suggest you come to the Chapter House.
For what it's worth I know what plagues Alastir Savoy. I went through the same thing. Though, I imagine, not as severe but over the course of many years.
Sincerely,
Malaroth
