A tail of long nights

Business about Myrkenwood continued per usual, for the most part. Suede was still currently 'indisposed,' and by the insistence of Jirai he was utterly unaware of the fact Captain Daniels had any sort of charges set upon him.
Even still, those with an amazingly perceptive batch of senses would notice a few new bodies about certain locations. The Gaol, the barracks, Captain Daniels and several of his more significant officers were all being given a careful watch. Whether it was from a peddler on their market route, to someone sitting in a window across from the cold stone of the prisons. The Captain, of course, would be given special care for the time being, as would one of his friends.
A married couple starting to slip past their prime would arrive at the O'Cynen estate in hopes of seeking some form of employment. Farmhand for him perhaps, and kitchen work or cleaning for the women. They looked hopeful, their farm had gone under in the past drought, and they'd had to send their last children out a bit young to make their own. Now? They were just hoping to scrape enough up for food and a roof.
