Haar sat at home, reading over his old journals written in his native tongue and the esoteric court language of Eredware. He had posed as a simple farmer for the time being, but it seemed traces of his old life were beginning to catch up with him. He sighed, looking at drawing he had made in one journal at the beginning of the Plague that ravaged his homeland and eventually destroyed it. The maggots at the Pattersen Farm, eating his cow were the same as the ones that appeared in the livestock of his native land. He put his head down on the desk and grumbled in thought, cursing himself for coming to a land with that sort of curse likely following him. Perhaps all the odd goings on and this Cult were related.
