A vote for Demonsbane is a vote for prosperity
So says the signs put up by a young man who wishes to prove to his father that in fact, it is -quite- annoying when someone tries to run and organize your life for you. His plan seems to be working, and this makes him grin. This is harmless, anyways. Nobody in their right mind would vote for his father. Especially not for AGRICULTURE. Would they? Well, he was going to find out. Flyers would be posted. Scribes would be paid. And then....he was going out, to speak to the various local farmers and landowners.
"Oh, no...my father is a perfectly reasonable and -wise- man."
"No, sir. I don't believe a woman is qualified to run for public office, either. I mean....can you imagine such a thing? There will be mandates of frilly bows and ties that -need- to be tied to your cattle. This is why I believe you should vote for my father. An honest, hardworking man who will ensure that you continue to prosper far into the future."
"Yes. He has experience in managing land and maintaining a farm."
"Yes, yes. He'll push for less taxes and make it easier for farmers to make good money."
"Would you rather vote for a man who will encourage your farms to produce more to make even greater money, or will you support an -ELF- who will frown upon your business of tilling the land, and instead encourage each peasant to feed himself by hunting the lands? Yes, that's right. Hunting on -your- lands."
"No, he won't do anything to anger the people. He's an honest, straightforward man. Also, he hates drow and won't abide their enemies."
This will continue. Adrian might normally be abrasive like his father, but...unlike his father, he can turn on the charm when he wishes, and he has a knack for telling people what they want to hear.
